You can relax at Pat’s Pizza and enjoy great pizza, pasta, and sandwiches. If your taste buds are yearning for Chinese food, head to Happy Garden for a long menu of classics. Pine Point Grill is the place to go for tasty American dishes.

There are plenty of outdoor options for visitors and residents of Scarborough. You can take full advantage of the outdoors from Memorial Park, Prouts Neck, and the Scarborough River Wildlife Sanctuary. These parks are good for relaxing, strolling, picnics, and other fun activities.
Another recreational area is the Scarborough Marsh, 3,100 acres of preserved land home to various wildlife. The state's largest marsh is critical to Maine's ecology. The tidal estuaries create a maze of waterways in the marsh. You can go kayaking and canoeing on the waterways as you explore the extensive marsh with lots of birds and waterfowl.
You can head to the sandy beaches to sunbathe and dip your toes in the water. Pine Point Beach, Higgins Beach, Scarborough Beach State Park, and Ferry Beach are all nearby.
Scarborough boasts several festivals, including the Memorial Day Parade and Summer Fest Heritage Day. These two are must-attends with lots of family-fun activities and entertainment.


Scarborough Public Schools serves students from kindergarten to adult education, adhering to the school's philosophy of providing quality education to all eligible community members. Public schools within the community include three primary schools (K2), two elementary schools (grades 35), one middle school (grades 68), and one high school (grades 912).
