Welcome to Westbrook

A small town with a city feel and a river flowing through its center.
Westbrook is a historic city between Portland, Gorham, and Windham. Often considered part of the greater Portland area, Westbrook is both a lively and accessible city. The Presumpscot River, an essential feature in Westbrook's history, runs across the city, filling the atmosphere with nature's calm.
Westbrook is one of Maine's fastest-growing areas, with downtown businesses interspersed with arts, shopping, entertainment, and dining experiences. The welcoming downtown area and charming style feature scattered waterside parks along the Presumpscot River.
What started as a "mill town" has evolved into the lively city of Westbrook. The town is now a flourishing artisan-based community with lower real estate prices than Portland. Westbrook is both a small town and a city in size.
